COURAGE - PORSCHE C26S CHASSIS: 002
This was Yves Courage’s second chassis and evolved over the years from its original date of construction in 1984. The original Ford Cosworth-engined car (C02) received a Porsche 962 engine in 1989 (C22LM) with revised bodywork over the entire 7 year period to its final form as a Cougar C26S. It was a ‘works’ car throughout its entire racing life. It is perhaps the only race-ready Group C Courage Competition car in existence.
The car has been fully rebuilt by Creation Autosportif Limited (www.creationsport.com) . It is a 2.8 litre Porsche unit mapped on Motec engine management. This car was featured in Octane magazine (May 2007).
